Satellite instrument package Cosmos -1809 satellite was equipped with the following scientific instruments: 1. IS-338 satellite ionospheric station - radiosounding of ionosphere at 338 fixed frequencies in the range of 0.3-15.95 MHz Ionosonde measures plasma density profiles above HmF2 height and integral plasma density along beam trajectory.
